Baseball Grinds Through Tough Non Conference Schedule

While the baseball team has opened up the season 1-10 to begin the 2024 season, the Falcons have faced a very difficult schedule. The total record of the first four Falcon opponents sits at 37-12m, with all teams being members of the NAIA. The Falcons did get their first win of the season over RV University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma on Saturday, 1-0. Cody Ziegelmeyer have the Falcons six shut out innings and Jose Ballista earned the save. Jacob Strobel drove in the games only run with an RBI triple. Manny Valenzuela had a strong series going 7 for 13 at the plate scoring three runs, driving in four runs, and hitting a home run and a triple. 

This weekend the Falcons finish up their 13 game slate of NAIA games to open the season with a double header against Arkansas Baptist. First pitch will be at noon at the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy. Next weekend, conference play begins for the baseball team. Their opening series will be at Randall in Moore, Okla. on March 7-8.
