Reyes has 3-hits (2 Triples) as Kansas Christian Takes One Away from Champion Christian.

Cody Ziegelmeyer started this game looking for his 6th win on the season.  Ziegelmeyer has been dominating most of the season, leading all starters in ERA, Strikeouts and Wins.  He had some trouble in the first inning giving up 3-runs on 3-hits.  The Falcons would get by two-runs with a Reyes triple to right and a Brilynn Stults single thru the left side. 

The Tigers would tack on another run in the 2nd inning. And, another run in the 3rd, giving the Tigers a 5-2 lead.  In the bottom half of the 3rd, Kansas Christian would score 2-runs on another Reyes triple to center field and a Sac Fly by Stults, getting the falcons witnin 1-run, 5-4.  

The Falcons tied it up in the bottom half of the 5th, scoring Reyes.  Four batter later, Kansas Chrsitian would take their first lead 7-5, on a Mikal Whisler triple to right field, scoring Stults & Cerron Bryant.  The next batter, Drew Lippold would be hit-by-a-pitch, Chris Hunter singles to center field, scoring Whisler.  Then another single by Manny Valenzuela, scoring Lippold.  This would break-open the game and give the Falcons a commanding 9-5 lead.

Things got a little hairy in the 7th, as the Tigers had the bases loaded with 2-outs.  Coach Hurla calls on his closer to nail down the victory and Jose Ballista does not disappoint.  He ends the threat with a ground out to the second base.  This was Ballista's 8th save on the season.  Ballista has been dominating in his last 10th appearances.  He has gone 19-innings, giving up zero runs, 9-hits, 26-strikeouts and 3-walks.  Ziegelmeyer gets his 6th victory on the season, 3.90 ERA is best among all starters, he also leads the team in strikeouts.

Reyes went 3-4 with 3-runs and 2-RBIs including 2-triples.  Stults went 3-3 with 2-runs and 2-RBIs, he also hit a triple.  Whisler hit the other triple.
