Kansas Christian Walk-Off in Nail-Biter

Both offenses were strong at the plate as each team collected 13-hits in the high-scoring affair.

Champion got on the board first in the 2nd inning on a ground out.  Then added another run in 3rd on a double down the right field line, putting the Falcons down 2-0.

Kansas Chrstian captured the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the 3rd when Jake Galloway singled, scoring 2-runs and Manny Valenzuela doubles, knocking in the 3rd run.  Kansas Christian was not done, in the bottom of the fourth, the plated 5-runs with a RBI single from Jesus Reyes, 3-Run triple by William Ashley and an RBI double by Angel Parra.

Champion teid the game in the top of the 7th with on an error and RBI single, knotting the game up 8-8.  Champion got two quick outs and it looked like it was heading to the 8th, but the Falcons managed to get Parker Graves on by an error by the shortstop.  K Gravatt singled off a line drive come backer to the pitcher, forcing Champion to bring in a reliever to try and force an 8th inning.  But, Drew Lippold had a different idea and knocked home the winning run on a line drive single to left field, scoring Graves from 2nd base.  And, ultimately giving Kansas Chrsitian the 9-8 victory.

TJ Bratton got his first win of the season.  The top 3-hitters (Lippold, Reyes & Ashley) combined to go 7-12, 4-runs scored and 5 RBIs.
