The Kansas Christian College men's basketball team fell in three exhibitions against NCAA opponents last week in Texas. The Falcons competed against Prarie View A&M and Tarleton State from NCAA Division I and St. Thomas from NCAA Division III.
In the first game of the week against Prarie View A&M, the Falcons went step for step leading for much of the first half before trailing by six at halftime. In the second half Prarie View pulled away to beat the Falcons 94-79. Jay Washington and Elazar Conley each scored 20 points for the Falcons to pace the offense. Conley also had a team high eight rebounds.
The Falcons battled to the end again the next night against St. Thomas but ultimately fell 74-67. Elazar Conley broke the 20 ponit mark again with a team high 27 points in the loss. Jay Washington added 10 points and seven rebounds. Jamal Clark had nine points and three steals. Great Nwachukwu blocked two shots.
The Falcons finished the week with an exhibition at Tarleton State playing on ESPN+. After keeping pace in the first half, the Falcons lost ground in the second half and fell 95-49. Boog Lewis went for 17 points and Jamal Clark tallied 16 ponits.
The Falcons travel to Lamoni, IA today to take on Graceland in an official game at 5pm.
