The Kansas Christian men's basketball team earned a 91-85 win over Maranatha Baptist this weekend. The game was played in Moberly, Mo. at Central Christian College of the Bible.
After trading buckets for most of the first half, Maranatha Baptist pulled out to a seven point lead until the Falcons went on a run to lead as many as six points before leading by two at halftime. Maranatha Baptist regained the lead briefly in the opening minutes of the second half but a bucket for the Falcons with 18:09 on the clock gave them the lead for good as they pulled away for a six point win.
Kaiden Hunter had a break out game with 28 points, six assists, five steals, and five rebounds with no turnovers in the win. Isaac Lane put up 20 points and seven rebounds. Gavin Jones finished with 11 points while Brandon Anthony and Damon Werts each had nine. Oscar Traylor scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds.
The men's basketball team begins a string of exhibitions on Thursday this week with a 7pm tip at Newman College in Wichita, Kan. The Falcons take on Cameron University and East Central University on Friday and Saturday.
