Falcons Grab Road Win at Manhattan Christian

The Kansas Christian men's basketball team improved to 9-7 on the season with a 79-68 win at Manhattan Christian on Tuesday night. The opening minutes saw the two teams trading buckets until the Falcons broke out on a 14-0 run in the middle of the half to lead 20-8. Kansas Christian continued to play well closing the half with a 39-20 lead. 

Manhattan Christian would slowly trim the lead late in the second half to get within eight points of the Falcons with about five minutes left to play in the game. The Thunder would draw no closer as the Falcons pulled back away for the 11 point victory. 

Damon Werts played another great game for the Falcons scoring 31 points to lead all scorers in the win. Malik Martin added 20 points. Oscar Traylor came grabbed seven rebounds to lead the team in that category. Reuben Doria scored seven points. Kaiden Hunter had a team high three assists. 

The men's basketball team returns home on Friday for our annual Reading Buddies Game at 2pm. The Falcons host Ecclesia and will have the Overland Christian School Reading Buddies in attendance for the game.
