Falcons Roll in Home Opener

The Kansas Christian College men's soccer team hosted Union College in their first home match of the season on Wednesday afternoon at Scheels Soccer Complex in Overland Park, Kan. The win improves the Falcons to 3-3 on the season. 

The home opener was also Reading Buddy Day, as the Falcons welcomed their reading buddies from Overland Christian School to the game. All programs in the Kansas Christian College athletic department spend time reading to elementary school kids from Overland Christian School twice a month. The men's soccer team recognized their reading buddies on the field in a pregame ceremony. 

Three first half goals for the Falcons would be all they need for the victory. Jose Reyes, Felipe Pampolim, and Roberto Mugabe each scored a goal and Pampolim added two asssts as well. Gabriel Farenzena played the entire game in goal and made one save. The Falcons outshot Union 26-6 in the match. 

The men's soccer team returns to action with a road match in St. Louis, MO against University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy on Saturday at 3:30pm.
