The Falcons knew they were in for a challenge as Rocky Mountain College came to town for the Kansas Christian College men's soccer home opener at Scheels Soccer Complex in Overland Park, Kan. on Wednesday morning. Rocky Mountain is receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll. It was the second time the Falcons took on an NAIA opponent in the early going of the 2025 season.
The Battlin' Bears scored the first goal about eight minutes into the start of play and never looked back as they topped the Falcons 9-0. Kansas Christian did manage to get a few good runs getting off four shots and attempting four corner kicks in the loss. Gabriel Farenzena made a season high 17 saves in his season debut at goalkeeper.
On Friday, the men's soccer team hosts their second consecutive home match bringing to town fellow NCCAA member, Manhattan Christian College. The Falcons kickoff at 1pm on Friday at Scheels Soccer Complex.
