Men's Soccer Scores Two in First Win

Will Derbyshire notched his first shutout behind two saves for Kansas Christian in a 2-0 win at Scheels Soccer Complex on Friday afternoon. It was the the second home game of the year and of the week for the Falcons as they rebounded from a loss to Rocky Mountain College of the NAIA on Wednesday. 

Javier Sanchez netted the first goal for the Falcons in the 23rd minute with an assist off the foot of Gabriel Santos. The score remained 1-0 until late in the second half when Luke Davis eased the pressure giving Kansas Christian a 2-0 lead and eventual victory. Victor Medeiros was credited with the assist. 

The men's soccer team returns to action on Saturday, September 13 in a road match at Avila University. It will be the third NAIA opponent of the season for the Falcons. Kickoff is set for 1pm.
