Falcon Cross Country Places Second at Neosho
The Kansas Christian cross country team competed in a rare mid-week race on Thursday. The Falcons traveled to Chanute, Kan. where they competed in the Neosho Quadrangular hosted by Neosho Country Community College. Due to heavy overnight rain the course conditions were wet and sloppy leading to slower times for most of the field.
The Falcons earned second place as a team. Jadin Kimbrel continued to improve in his freshman campaign grabbing his first top 10 finish in an 8K race. Kimbrel placed ninth with a time of 32:16. Kobe Morgan came in 16th at 36:26 and right behind him was Juan Moultrie at 37:05. Moultrie improved his personal best time by over eight minutes. Aaron Wise came in at 37:33 and Jamel Bailey finished at 38:53 to round out the field for the Falcons on the men's side. Elektra Lee ran the 5K race on the women's side in 35:55 to finish in 22nd place.
The cross country team will head to Jopiln, Mo. on October 30 for its final tune-up before the NCCAA National Championships when they compete in the Ozark Christian College Last Chance Meet.
