Softball Wins Series With Eccleisa

The Kansas Christian softball team won their series with Ecclesia at home this weekend to wrap up regular season play. The Falcons now await their berth in the NCCAA World Series beginning May 16 at the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy. The Falcons are the World Series host. 

Game one of the series got away from the Falcons as they fell 21-10. Cherie Green was three for four with a run scored. Ari Lopez finished two for three with two runs scored. Hannah Wahl went two for three scoring two runs and driving in three. 

In game two, the Falcons rallied for a 9-8 walk off win. Ari Lopez pitched a complete game earning the win. Alexis Williams went two for four and drove in a run. Aubrey Smith scored a run and had a hit. Ari Lopz, Haven Kelly, and Sam Johnson each had hits as well. Hannah Wahl finished four for four with four RBIs. Trinitie Butler capped off the win with a walk off walk with the bases loaded. 

The final game of the series ended up being game three as game four was canceled with the Falcons leading 10-1. Kansas Christian won game three by a final score of 8-0. Ari Lopez tossed another complete game in the victory. Trinitie Butler, Ari Lopez, and Cherie Green each had two hits. Danna Wagnon had three RBIs and a double.
