Bio

Taralee (Pringle) McReynolds was named the first softball coach in Kansas Christian College program history ahead of the 2022-2023 school year. McReynolds brings a wealth of experience to build the new program having coached softball for 23 years. Taralee graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a BS in Exercise Fitness Management. She also earned a Masters in Education with a Sports Psychology emphasis at Central Oklahoma. She then went on to earn another Masters in Clinical Psychology from East Central University in Ada, OK.

 

After graduating from Bethel High School in Shawnee, OK., Taralee attended one year at Eastern Oklahoma State College and played softball leading the team in batting average at .495, earning an All-American nomination, and was named All-Region and an Academic All-American. She then transferred to the University of Central Oklahoma where she was a named on the All-Tournament Team in Lone Star Conference Tournament.

 

Taralee began coaching when she helped start the first softball team ever as an assistant coach at Rose State College in Midwest City, Okla. She went on to become the head coach at Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, KY for three years. While at Mid-Continent, her teams earned NAIA Region Runner-Up two times, and qualified for the NCCAA National Tournament twice. Several players earned All-Conference, NAIA All-Region, and NCCAA All-American recognition. They also were ranked in the NAIA Top 25. While coaching here, she also coached her sister Timber (Pringle) Hawkins and Timber earned NCCAA All-American honors.

 

Taralee left Mid-Continent to become the head softball coach at University of Science and Arts in Chickasha, OK. She would be there for four years with her teams ranking in the top 10 for the entirety of one season and the top 20 in the other seasons in the NAIA. One player would be recognized as an NAIA All-American. Several more earned All-Conference and All-Region honors. They qualified for the NAIA National Tournament in one season.

 

Taralee was an assistant coach to Sarah Jones when Purcell High School won the state championship in 2018. Taralee has also held other head and assistant coach positions at a handful of junior high schools and high schools in Oklahoma. Director of Athletics, Jaime Cuellar spoke on the new hire saying, "the experience that Taralee offers will be a tremendous asset in building the softball program at Kansas Christian College. We look forward to the direction she will take the program."
