Bryant Tucker to Lead KCC Women's Basketball Program

Bryant Tucker comes to the Kansas Christian College family after extensive experience in the game. Tucker was the head women's basketball coach at Oak Hills Christian College in Bemidji, MN. He also spent time as an assistant coach at Southwestern Community College in Cresston, IA. His ties to the local area include a stint as the head women's basketball coach at JC Harmon High School. He was a certified NCAA Women's Basketball Official from 2014-2019 and spent time in the American Basketball Associate as a head coach and general manager. 

Some of Tucker's accomplishments include being named the 2020 KCAL Coach of the Year. He set school records for wins at Oak Hills Christian College and at JC Harmon High School. He has had playes earn all region and all conference awards in his time as a coach with multiple players earning defensive player of the year and posting strong rebound numbers under his tutelage. Tucker earned his Bachelor and Master Degrees from American Public University. 

Speaking on taking this position with Kansas Chritstian College, Tucker said, "I would like to give thanks to God for opening this door! I also thank Dr. Poteet and Dr. Pollard for believing and trusting in me to lead the women's basketball program. I thank my wife, Terri, for supporting me in this endeavor. I am beyond blessed to come back home and be on the sidelines. I am excited to build disciples, leaders, and empower these student athletes to reqch their full potential. Hard work, committment, and accountability will shape our culture both on and off the court. I look forwrad to meeting all of our supporters this season!"
