Volleyball Edged in Exhibition Match

The Kansas Christian women's volleyball team dropped their exhibition match with Cottey College by a final of 3-1 on Tuesday night in Cowen Memorial Auditorium. 

The Falcons lost the first two sets 25-17 before winning the third set by the same score. After building a lead in the fourth set, the Falcons were eventually defeated 25-18 in the fourth and deciding set. 

Layla Dixon led the attack for the Falcons with eight kills followed by Brendeja Holloman with six. Daria Korovina had 19 assists. Sidnee Bergquist led the defense with 14 digs. Latresa Saunders had a team high three block assists and one solo block. 

The volleyball team turns their attention to Saturday where they compete in a triangular with Stephens College and Dallas Christian College. The matches will be played at Stephens College in Columbia, Mo.
