Cross Country Competes at Harvey County Open
Kansas Christian sent the men's and women's cross country teams down to Newton, Kan. this weekend for the Harvey County Open hosted by Tabor College. It was the second meet of the season for the Falcons.
Injuries limited the travel party for this weekend's meet, but sophomore Kobe Morgan finished the 8K race with a time of 32:05 which placed him 41st overall. Dante Lopez also cracked the top 50 with a time of 32:35. James Trigg finished 66th as well. For the women, Naomi Laws placed 55th with a time of 34:09 in the 5K race.
The meet consisted of several strong NAIA and junior college programs. Head Coach Greg Keeler was happy to compete in the tough field saying, "This was an excellent learning experience for all of our runners as we move into the second half of our season and look to finish strong."
Kansas Christian will host their first cross country meet in program history in their next contest. The Falcons are host to the NCCAA Classic which will be held at Lexington Lake in DeSoto, Kan on October 17th at 10am.
