Track and Field Competes at Mule Relays

For the second straight weekend, the Kansas Christian College track and field team had to deal with wet and chilly conditions as the traveled to Warrensburg, Mo. for the 2021 Mule Relays. Despite the wet weather the Falcons continue to improve as they are less than a month away from the programs first trip to the NCCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships which will be held at Greenville University in Illinois on May 12-14.

Sprinter Ashton Sims continued his strong freshman season with a school record and season best long Jump. "Ashton has been slowed with injuries for much of the outdoor season, so it was nice to see him finally get an opportunity to jump in competition," said head track and field coach Greg Keeler.

Other strong performances from Friday were sophomores Hela Arabagali and Kobe Morgan who both sets school records in very challenging conditions. Hela set a school record in javelin with a throw of 84'9". Fast improving discus thrower, Kobe Morgan, improved on his own school record in the discus with a throw of 89'4".
