CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES THIRD AT NCCAA FALCON CLASSIC
Kansas Christian cross country competed in their first meet of the season on Saturday. Head Coach Greg Keeler and the cross country program hosted the second annual NCCAA Falcon Classic at Lexington Lake Park in DeSoto, KS. Weekend rain made the course sloppy when teams arrived in the morning and the rains continued all the way up to the start of the race before it cleared out right as the runners took off onto the course.
Seven different teams competed between the two races. Cottey College won the women's race earning a perfect score taking first through fifth place in the race. Faith Baptist would win the men's race. The Falcons placed third in the men's race and had just one runner compete in the women's race. That runner was Elektra Lee who came in at 18th overall with a time of 26:22 in the 4K race.
Dante Lopez was the top performer for the Falcons on the day finishing fourth overall in the men's race running 20:07 in the 5K race. Jadin Kimbrel came in at 21:25 finishing seventh overall. Jamel Baily ran 23:31 and Aaron Wise came in at 23:33. Juan Moultrie finished with a time of 25:56.
The Falcons are right back in action next weekend at the Comet Twilight Invitational in Nevada, Mo on Friday.
