Falcons Get Series Win Over Saints

The first game of the three game series between Randall and Kansas Christian College this weekend was a back and forth affair with the Falcons taking the lead in the bottom of the first on an RBI groundout by Drew Lippold. Randall would take their first lead with a two run triple in the third inning. The Falcons took advantage of Randall miscues in the bottom of the third, however to regain the lead 3-2. The Falcons added two insurance runs in the fifth and held on for a 5-2 win. Corbin Sprague tossed a complete, seven inning game. He scattered five hits, walked two and hit batters. Jake Galloway finished two for two with a run scored and a walk. Connor Taylor also had two hits in three at bats. He drove in two runs and scored one run. TJ Bratton reached base every time to the plate in the nine hole. He walked once, singled, doubled, and scored a run. 

Game two slipped away from the Falcons late as a pitcher's duel unfolded for the first five innigs of the game. Denver Smith pitched six innings for the Falcons. He allowed just two runs, one earned. Smith allowed six hits, he hit two batters, and he walked two. Randall held the Falcons to two runs on four hits. Drew Lippold tripled and scored a run. Diego Diaz doubled and drove in a run while also walking once. 

Jake Galloway and Drew Lippold powered the offense for Kansas Christian in game three on the back of seven hits, four runs scored. and six RBIs between the two. Jake Galloway was hit by a pitch, and walked in his five trips to the plate.  Galloway smacked a line drive home run to left field and doubled as the Falcons went on to an 11-5 win. Drew Lippold led both teams with five RBIs. He went four for five at the plate. Peyton Roper homered to left field. Kale Kocourek, Lippold, and Galloway each hit doubles. Nate Boen tossed six innings and gave up three runs on three hits walking one batter and striking out two. Connor Taylor tossed three innings in relief.
