Men's Basketball Victorious in Home Opener

The Kansas Christian College men's basketball team took down Free Lutheran Bible College in their home opener on Thursday night. It was OCS Reading Buddy Night as students from our partner Overland Christian School were invited to come out to watch the game and be recognized with on court festivities throughout the games.

The Falcons rolled to a 97-54 win on the back of 26 points from Jamal Clark. Clark also contributed five assists and four steals. Boog Lewis gave solid minutes as well scoring 19 points with eight steals. Fernando Carvalho and Jay Washington scored 12 and 10 ponits respectively to round out the Falcons' double digit scorers. Great Nwachukwu blocked three shots and threw down a few dunks in the win as well.

Kansas Christian used suffocating full court press to lead in fast break points, points off turnovers, and points in the paint in the win. The Falcons are now 3-0 on the season.

Next week the men's basketball team will compete in three exhibitions down in Texas between Prarie View, St. Thomas, and Tarleton State. The first exhibition is Monday at 11am against Prarie View University.
