The win didn't come with out some emotions on Saturday for the Kansas Christian men's basketball team. The Falcons weathered foul trouble and saw a 17 point second half lead disappear in the final minutes of regulation but still found a way to get an overtime win over the Royals.
After getting out to a 10 point lead at halftime, the Falcons came out in the second half and pushed out to a 17 point lead but the final four minutes of the contest saw Ecclesia take the lead before the Falcons tied it back up and forced overtime. Damon Werts, Alex Watts, and Marcus Sampson all fouled out of the game and Darion Williams had four fouls most of the second half.
Damon Werts still led the Falcons in scoring with 23 points and he had nine rebounds. Kenneth Hunter went for 18 points and 14 rebounds making crucial plays for the Falcons. Amourie Dunn stepped into action and found some clutch buckets for the Falcons finishing with 18 points and going 10 for 12 from the free throw line. James Lewis scored 21 points and nailed a clutch three in overtime making four total threes in the game.
The Falcons host Randall at 7pm on Monday for their third straight home game looknig to extend their home winning streak to three.
