Lady Falcons Improve to 6-1

The Kansas Christian women's basketball team earned a 77-42 win over Manhattan Christian at home on Wednesday to improve to 6-1 on the season.

After grabbing a four point lead by the end of the first quarter but used a 26-12 advantage in the second quarter to take control of the game with a 17 point lead at halftime. In the second half, the Falcons continued to extend their lead as they cruised to victory. 

Four Falcons scored in double figures in the win. Mikalle Lowry led the way with 19 points followed by Sidnee Bergquist and Brendeja Holloman who each had 12 points. Zhira Cephus added 11 points. Danna Wagnon grabbed 20 rebounds for Kansas Christian, a season high for the team. Wagnon also had nine points. 

The women's basketball team competes again today when they take on Blackburn College on the road in Illinois at 5pm.
