Women's Basketball Splits Weekend Games

The Kansas Christian women's basketball team split their two games this weekend. The Falcons earned a 50-35 win over Randall at home on Friday before falling at Ozarks on Saturday 92-40. Kansas Christian is now 9-7 on the season.
The Falcons climbed to an eight point lead by the end of the first quarter and led by seven at halftime. In the third quarter the Falcons pulled away and eventually claimed the 15 point victory.
Brendeja Holloman scored a team high 14 points on her way to a double-double as she grabbed 11 rebounds as well. Ali Warner led the team in rebounds with 15. Warner also had seven points and blocked four shots. Zhira Cephus scored 10 points and had four steals. Sidnee Berquist made four three point shots on her way to 12 points.
On Saturday, Ozarks jumped out to a big lead early on the Falcons and never looked back. Monique Hunt and Zhira Cephus each scored nine points to lead the offense. The Falcons now turn their attention to Manhattan Christian where they will compete on Tuesday at 5pm.
