Women's Basketball Remains Unbeaten at Home

Cowen Memorial Auditorium has been a friendly place for the women's basketball team in the early part of the 2025-26 season. The Falcons earned their second win in as many tries with a 78-51 win over Marantha Baptist University. 

After pulling out to a 14-8 lead by the end of the first quarter, Kansas Christian distanced themselves in the second quarter outscoring Maranatha Baptist 23-12  to take a 15 point lead into halftime. The Falcons went on to outscore the Sabercats in every quarter of the game eventually taking the 27 point win. 

Hayley Dively made five threes and led all scorers with 24 points for the Falcons. Aleena Elise-Perez scored 11 points and Jazalle Dunn finished with 10 points to round out the double digit scorers. Brittany Cato grabbed nine rebounds to go with her eight points and Rayne Dunn-Johnson scored nine points with seven rebounds. 

This week the women's basketball team will head south for games in Oklahoma and Texas beginning with a 5pm game at Randall University in Moore, Okla. on Tuesday.
