The Kansas Christian women's basketball team improved to 5-0 at home this season with a win over Faith Baptist Bible College on Thursday.
The Falcons were short handed as injuries left Kansas Christian with just six players healthy and eligible for the game. It remained back and forth throughout as Faith Baptist Bible gave the Falcons a fight into the fourth quarter. Kansas Christian finally pulled away in the fourth outscoring the Eagles 23-11 in the period to win the game 64-51.
Hayley Diveley led all scorers in the game with 24 points to go with eight rebounds. Brittany Cato posted a double-double on the back of 12 points and 18 rebounds. Cato also had five steals. Samiya Lewis and Rayne Dunnn-Johnson each added nine points and Aleena Elise-Perez finished with seven points, five rebounds, and four assists.
The win puts the Falcons just one win away from getting their record back to .500 for the season. Looking to get back to 7-7 on the season and to extend their home win streak to six games, the Falcons will host Ecclesia on Saturday.
